Self Tapping Screws are sheet metal screws and require pre-drilling.
They are available in two types:
Type A:
Coarse thread / Sharp end point, recommended for use on steel purlins with thickness not exceeding
2.67mm
Type B:
Fine thread / Flat end point, recommended for use on steel purlins with thickness exceeding 2.67mm
They are available in Carbon Steel (Ruspert or Tufcote coating), Stainless Steel grade 304 & 316
